Volleyball means to me:
Volleyball to me means everything. but if i can get it down in more detail i would say: passion. somewhere where i can be fully myself when playing, cheer & scream, be happy and sad.. feel all the emotions with all the ups and downs of the sport. at the same time, it’s my safe space. it has given me eveything: a second family, lifelong friendships, and my boyfriend. lastly, volleyball has been a part of my life since 12 years old and after that, the discipline, character, mental maturity, strength, communication, and resilience i have built as an athlete and furthermore as a person is powerful. but i do have to say that i wouldn’t be here today or the person that i am without my family and their huge support.
